Stuart Rotary Student Loan & Scholarship Foundation, Inc.
The Stuart Rotary Student Loan & Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Patrick County students pursue higher education through annual scholarships and low-interest student loans.
Founded and supported by the Rotary Club of Stuart, the Foundation exists to remove financial barriers and invest in the future of our local students.
Financial assistance provided so far:
150 students assisted through low-interest loans totaling $179,375
A total of 422 local students have received scholarships for a total of $431,450
In 2025 alone, 29 scholarships totaling $45,500 were awarded
Scholarships offered
Each year, the Foundation awards multiple scholarships to eligible students. Scholarship amounts and the number of awards vary annually based on available funding.

First-Generation Scholarship
The Stuart Rotary First-Generation Scholarship is designed for students whose parent(s) or legal guardian(s) did not complete a bachelor’s degree or higher.
Award Details
Up to $8,000 total, awarded in $2,000 increments per academic year
A Rotary mentor assigned to support the student throughout college
Low Interest Student Loans
In addition to scholarships, the Foundation offers low-interest student loans to help cover educational expenses.
Loan Highlights
Maximum loan: $1,500 per year
Current interest rate: 3.5%
Loans may be requested each year of college attendance
Repayment begins six months after graduation
Loan funds are paid directly to the college or university upon approval.
